Gather together your ingredients in one spot foe ease of use! This is a weeknight no less!

Put a large pot on the stove at high heat and boil about a gallon of water. Add the olive oil to reduce the spaghetti from sticking and to stop boil overs. The first tip is to add the salt to the water to flavor the spaghetti!

While the water is heating up, add the Italian sausage to a large skillet and season with the Italian seasoning. Using Italian sausage instead of ground beef and adding in the Italian seasoning will give it a great taste! Cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excessive fat. Add your favorite red sauce and bring to a simmer.

When the water is at a boil, add the dry spaghetti and cook to al dente. This is when you taste the spaghetti and it is nearly done. If you take it off early, it will continue to cook for a few minutes to perfection! Drain the spaghetti, put it back in the large pot until ready to serve.

Pile a heaping portion on your plate, add some upgraded sauce, and enjoy!
