Zuppa Toscana Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Italian Sausage
  • 5 Russet Potatoes
  • 1 package Bacon
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 32 oz Chicken Broth
  • 1 bunch Kale
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Ground Pepper
  • 1 Onion

Gather together your ingredients and roughly chop the garlic cloves and the onion. Add to a small bowl and save for later.

Dice the potatoes into bite size pieces and put aside for later again!

Cook up the bacon until well done. Wait for it to cool down and crumble or roughly chop it up.

Add the Italian sausage to the pan and cook on medium heat until nice and crumbled.

Get out your favorite slow cooker and add all ingredients that you have cooked and chopped to the cooker. Add salt and pepper if you would like and maybe a pinch of red pepper flakes to kick it up a notch!

Add the chicken broth to the slow cooker to cover everything nicely. Put the slow cooker on low and slow and let cook for about 5 hours or until the potatoes are done.

Tear or chop up the kale and add it and the heavy cream to the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes until the kale is done
